Principally over the course of the past decade, new and expanded demands was developed on nursing and midwifery. Among other things, these have led to significant qualitative changes in the job profile, with an increased proportion of preventative and rehabilitative care of individuals, families and other groups of the population. There are provision models at the foreground of primary care provided by nurses and midwives, that are geared towards as high as possible level at independent and self-determined care in people’s own homes.

The complexity of these demands increasingly requires inter-professional and multi-professional collaboration in healthcare. The aim of the project is to identify areas of family care provided by nurses and midwives.
